Welcome to Redesign Malaysia: For Better Broadband, For the Rakyat. - Internet, Broadband, Malaysia, WiFi, Wireless, WiMax, Streamyx, Jaring and more…

This website is an initiative to improve Malaysia’s broadband facilities. It contains a broadband coverage map, articles on Malaysia broadband, comparisions of internet service providers and feature articles.

Redesign Malaysia is an initiative to improve Malaysia's broadband internet penetration, quality and reliability. We aim to achieve this through the compilation of relevant news articles, allowing users to have a voice, enlightening consumers on the options that are available, providing comparative statistics on ISPs, as well as the production of special features and commentary.

It is designed to be a community effort, to utilize information and feedback from broadband users and potential customers across Malaysia. We also aim to gain cooperation from the various broadband players in Malaysia, as well as support from government agencies and regulators.

Currently, we are focused on the Klang Valley, however in time we aim to expand this initiative nationwide. Let's all collaborate - to make fast, cheap and efficient broadband available throughout Malaysia.

You might be either surprised, or not surprised at all, but Earl’s connection speed is back to terrible again.

The Lowyat.net boys have their say on earlier visit here: TMNet CEO Visits Streamyx Customer, Earl-Ku’s House

Rigged? TC_Boy has this to say: “There was an article posted here (on Lowyat.net) before about how ISPs usually mark certain ips to be given max bandwidth & high priority because it belongs to broadband speed test sites. They have fooled the user and the press. The speed maybe for real too but only for him or his DSLAM.”

Hmm…

Ok then…

Earl, WRITE AGAIN to all mainstream newspaper….

No worries, this time, if any idiot from that company plans to go to your place, tell us at Redesignmalaysia.

I suggest that we get all speed test results and log all your IP address. I and maybe Josh will be there with our laptops….

Lets see, this time will a “processor” slow down your internet speed? AND THIS TIME IF THE SPEED GOES UP FAST AND THEN BACK TO NORMAL(slow after they leave) THEN ITS A HOT PROBLEM FOR REDESIGNMALAYSIA TO CREATE THE BUZZ!!!

I think TMNET CEO notebook has been rigged and the technical team have been temporarily set the bandwidth to the maximum for the sake of TMNET CEO waterface. That’s what corporate GLC and CEO done to promote themself.

As I had predicted, the situation will be back to square one once the TMnut clowns leave Earl’s house. In fact, TMnut sucks not only in ADSL but even in leased lines. Internet connection in my campus went from lightning fast to crappy slow after the university’s Tender Committee ordered the Computer Centre to terminate Jaring’s 8 Mbps E2 in favour of TMnut’s 8 Mbps E2 on the reason that the TMnut’s contractor offers “cheaper” price than the Jaring one. Of course the TMnut one is cheaper because TMnut’s QoS policy is sh*tty CRAP and nowhere compared to Jaring. Now it is the Computr Centre who has to bear the brunt of having complains and curses from everyone in the university, ranging from professors to undergraduates!
