Some of you readers might have noticed that we were previously featured on NTV7’s The Breakfast Show. We finally managed to get a copy of the clip, and here it is. Make sure to add it to your favourites on YouTube, or leave a comment!

Hope those CEOs of ISP will be watching it….
The problem is not not enough people to subsribe but it’s the coverage and perfomance problem especially our biggest ISP (u know…)
RedesignMalaysia.com has quite a ways to go in my opinion, and I actually stumbled upon it while searching for the internet backbone status when I couldn’t get Skype to work.
Of course, things could only get better as this site gets more popular, but the major hindrance would be that the current working population (yes, yuppies out there that just started working) are not very tech-savvy as yet (no sources, I quote from my experiences with meeting some of these people.
Sure, they are gadget savvy, buying the latest gadgets and stuff, but in terms of getting them to work together to improve their quality of life or improving on their performance and work? I think no..
Fact is, how many people knows what the average mobile phone amd a PDA/PDAphone can do now? Fax, emails, appointments, etc. Almost like a mobile office.. and the infrastructure is there too, albeit expensive for an average earning Malaysian at 2-3K or so (no thanks to rising costs of living). From my limited experience, tele-commuting is possible now, and the major hindrance is the lack of people actually knowing how to use it, or implement it in a more user-friendly way (they are to me, but apparently not to the 99% of OTHER people I meet, some going ooo and aaaah over the simple things I do with my two year old PDA.
scamboy: This was on NTV7’s The Breakfast Show, on 25th September 2006. Of course I know how to download it to a laptop, I wouldn’t be a savvy computer user if I didn’t. Hehe.
awee: Yeahlor. Sigh. Not to mention also the people on the ever long waiting list.
Andy: Yup, we are continously improving this. You might notice that are rolling out quite a lot of new features. One of my plans is to have “educational” and “entertainment” related initiatives, as well as broadband news. If we educate more people on the potential of their gadgets and networks, as well as highlight interesting content, we will go a long way in our mission to improve Malaysia’s broadband.
So, when are you going to come over to our office and volunteer your skills? You could write some tutorials, and more
Josh Lim: I already have a job, and I’m frequently travelling around due to family matters as well. So I can only volunteer in making tutorials, but even that is limited to the gadgets I own, as I try to get the maximum out of any gadget I own. (some call it being stingy)
So, if you’re still requiring writers that work on a ad-hoc basis.. then I’m your guy.
